Cathedral Cliffs and Gore Bay

We visited these amazing cliffs the other day. They're out from Cheviot towards the coast, just before you get to Gore Bay. You can park on the side of the road and walk across to view them.

They're simply magnificent. They remind me of the old organ pipes you see in churches.

I wonder what else is hidden away in this gully. You cannot get any closerthere are signs warning of crumbling cliffs, etc. And you can only see them from this one spot. A hidden treasure.

A little further along the road (at the bottom of the hill) was Gore Bay. A delightful little beach community and this lovely beach. Sand! White sand! :) I had to walk along it in bare feet. After all the stony pebble beaches we've had lately, it was bliss.

This was one of the access points. People had tied shell and stone decorations all along the fence.
